Salary: £24,840 - £30,403 per annum (£13,248 - £16,215 per annum)

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for RDGS Development Worker to join our Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme (RDGS) Team based in Bradford.
About us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
The Rent Deposit Scheme provides access to housing in the private rented sector for young people by supporting with the upfront deposit and rent costs. By promoting the scheme both internally and externally with key partners to support the right young people who are ready to live independently, building up links in the community with referral and support agencies as well as expanding our bank of letting agencies to ensure the success of the scheme.

What you’ll be doing
- Promoting the scheme internally and externally to increase referrals and ensure we are receiving the right referrals and working with key partners
- Assessing young people to ascertain their ability to live independently, any support needs and providing a detailed action plan of next steps and guidance on the private rented sector
- Inspect all potential properties and liaise with potential Letting Agents on behalf of young people
